STATE-OF-THE-ART HYDROPROCESSING TECHNOLOGY. Using state-of-the-art all-hydroprocessed technology, S-Oil converts crude oil molecules into extremely pure colorless Ultra-S products which have a very high viscosity index and are virtually free of aromatics, polar compounds, and sulfur. The result is a premium Group III base oil without the impurities and characteristics that limit the performance of other base oils.

HYDROCRACKING PROCESS
Using VGO (Vacuum Gas Oil) as the primary feedstock, a severe hydrocracking process removes impurities and saturates virtually all of the aromatics to produce highly paraffinic lube oil feedstocks with very high VI.

SELECTIVE CATALYTIC DEWAXING PROCESS
A catalyst selectively isomerizes normal paraffins into branched molecules. These isoparaffins produce superior lubricating base oils.

HYDROFINISHING PROCESS
The dewaxed oil is purified further by removing any residual aromatics and impurities such as sulfur and nitrogen. The result is a colorless and extremely pure finished base oil. |
